EASTER 2008
We have an embarrassment of photographic riches commemorating Easter Sunday celebrations this year, so we picked out just a few for your enjoyment. As traditional, the young people of the church organized and conducted the Easter Sunrise Service at Kendrick Mansion.
It was a very cold morning, so the early risers and those who had braved the cold for the Sunrise Service were ready for an early Pancake Breakfast, prepared by the United Methodist Men.
The men served up breakfast until the second service. Here are a few more shots from breakfast:
Meanwhile a crew was decorating the Sanctuary for Easter services.
Easter Services began with the return of the Christ Candle...

The Altar was well dressed for the occasion.
There was lots of special music...

Children's Time on Easter Sunday is always fun too. Here are a couple of shots--one from the early service....

The late service is usually a little more formal than the early service, so Pastor Don wore his formal outfit for that. Here he is in his Easter robes. Doesn't he look fine?
The annual Easter Egg Hunt is the high point of the day for the little kids. The older Youth had already prepared the eggs and hidden them for the little ones.
Then "Let the Hunt Begin!"
Everyone had good luck, including the Usher.
