UMW PURPOSE:
The organized unit of United Methodist Women shall be a community of women whose purpose is to know God and to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ; to develop a creative, supportive fellowship; and to expand concepts of mission through participation in the global ministries of the church.
THE SHERIDAN, WYOMING, BRANCH OF UNITED METHODIST WOMEN
FUMC's chapter of United Methodist Women joins thousands of other chapters in the U.S. and around the world in raising funds for missions and outreach, particularly in matters touching the welfare of women and children. Working together and pooling resources, these grassroots chapters raise millions of dollars annually and distribute it locally, regionally, nationally and internationally through the various agencies of the United Methodist Church.
And while they are doing all this "heavy lifting," they take time out to have fun.
